If you are not tuned in you are behind...

Two years ago, I would have never entertained the idea of a podcast. I was a naive girl and did not think I could sit through an entire episode without losing interest. I was all about visuals and had a very short attention span. Boy was I wrong. Podcasts are everything! In fact, if you are not an avid listener are you really even growing as a human being? Podcasts can be a great alternative to self-help books. If you are someone who just can't sit and read for 20 minutes without falling asleep, listening to audio footage of self-help mentors is the way to go!
A lot of people take for granted the time spent in a car. If you are someone who lives in the LA or OC area you know you are bound to catch traffic at any hour of the day. Traffic can easily ruin your mood and set the tone for the rest of your day. Why not use the commute time as a time slot to work on your mental health and catch up on the latest podcasts?

Here are a few podcasts that I listen to religiously. Having a notepad to jot down some ideas will make it easier to stay engaged! If you have been keeping up with my post, one of the tips I often recommend is spending 10 minutes (morning and night) to reflect on your mental state of mind. The notes you take while listening to the podcast will make journaling a bit easier.
Mark Groves Podcast
Mark Groves Podcast is all about understanding ourselves as individuals. The American education system has done a poor job in educating students on the importance of feelings and understanding of why we are the way we are. We all have different backgrounds, different triggers, and many different expectations when it comes to life. Mark Groves has done an excellent job of unpacking underlining issues that correlate to connections with oneself and personal relationships. A lot of the problems we face in our personal relationships stem from within. Mark Groves has given me the necessary tools to begin the inner work. I have been able to recognize and understand the traumas that have been inherited. He also talks a lot about feelings of inadequacy, family resentment, and commitment issues. This podcast is a great place to start if you constantly find yourself repeating the same patterns in your relationships.
Manifestation Babe Podcast
This boss babe is your ultimate breadwinner. Her platform is all about understanding your mindset when it comes to “manifestation and money”. Kathrine Keeps it real with her listeners. Her life turned upside down three years ago, and it was not until she realized that manifesting was the key to success. She helps you transform your mindset in a realistic way. It is not all about being positive 24/7. In fact, it is the complete opposite. Her main focus is to acknowledge the dark times and use that to your advantage. Her podcast serves as a reminder that success stems from chaos. If you are someone who is struggling financially I highly encourage you to check her out. Katherine will help you understand that your money should be the relationship you nurture the most. Sounds crazy right? If you do not believe me take a look for yourself.
Call Her Daddy Podcast
This podcast will have you cracking up at a red light! If you want to listen to something light and entertaining this is the podcast for you! Matter fact, I recommend you listen to this podcast with your friends on wine Wednesday. Alex and Sophia are wild, to say the least. These girls share their craziest life stories, and truth be told some just seem too good to be true. Their podcast is all about exploiting their life hacks (at least, when it comes to lovers). Many young adults can easily relate to this podcast because it talks about modern-day dating. The girls talk about open relationships, run-ins with ex’s, and ghosting. The content can be extremely explicit, so be sure you are not tuned in while babysitting your brothers and sisters. It originated from barstool sports, so what can you expect?
Other podcasts you should consider:
The Garyvee Audio Experience - Gary Vaynerchuk
Shamangelic Healing -Amanda Anahata
Ed Mylett Show -Ed Mylett
Small Doses - Amanda Seals
I use to be the same way. I was so stubborn and dedicated my daily communte to the same music over and over again. It wasn't until I started seeing podcasts in a conversational tone where I decided to give them a try. I'm always looking for new ones, so I will definately take yours into consideration. Thank you for your suggestions!
